We are seeking to appoint highly-motivated people to join our School, supporting students in mainstream lessons and in our ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder) resource based in Trinity School.  The ASD Unit is a West Berkshire resource provision for students with specific ASD difficulties.  These roles involve supporting students in mainstream lessons to enable them to access the curriculum, as well as working closely with teachers.  The ability to be flexible, as well as to build good working relationships with students and staff is a key requirement.   A willingness to learn and to be flexible with a good general level of education is essential.  These roles may well appeal to people who are considering going into teaching as a career or those who are passionate about working with students who have special educational needs or disabilities.

The Newbury Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a HR Administrator to provide an efficient administrative service within a growing Academy Trust.  This is an exciting new post and the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for all HR enquiries from both outside and within the Trust. The post will predominately be based at Trinity School but may require some travel to other schools within the Trust.

Key duties include:-

  • Working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Officer to ensure all required safeguarding checks are carried out and accurately recorded
  • Maintaining HR systems ensuring data is accurate and compliant
  • Overseeing the recruitment process including placing adverts and organising interviews, producing contracts, offer letters, starter packs and creating new staff personnel files
  • Providing advice on basic HR issues when requested by staff

Qualifications, skills and experience required:-

  • IT literate, with broad knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A professional personnel qualification is desirable, but not essential
  • Knowledge of SIMS Personnel is desirable, but training will be provided
  • Willingness to work across school sites, so own transport is necessary
