Winning ways with words

Trinity School students have been winning competitions right, left and centre this year, using both spoken and written words.  Year 13 student Koshesai Fundira got the ball rolling by winning the regional heats of Poetry By Heart.  She had to recite two poems from memory and was also interviewed on Radio 4.

More recently, 22 students have been chosen by the Busta Rhymes competition to have their poems published in the autumn. There were over 6000 entries across the country so we are incredibly proud of their achievement.

Alongside this, Trinity has been winning the caption competition for the national on-line newspaper The Day on a regular basis.  The last two are seen in the photo attached.
