Trinity School is a place built upon the ethos of fostering academic achievement and student success through encouraging each individual student to push for greater and developing a collective student environment where all students help their peers to push for greater too. This ethos is our core grounding, seen through our school motto of ‘Personal Excellence and Collective Responsibility’. This motto echoes throughout our school life, and we achieve it through using our dedicated faculties, plethora of extracurricular activities and well-maintained facilities as tools for cultivating students into successful and motivated young adults, equipped to enter an ever-evolving world.

Trinity has undergone great change even since the beginning of last academic year, with the introduction of the ‘phone free’ policy, which we as the Head Students believe will be the beginning of positive change for the students here at Trinity. With a phone free learning environment, each student can focus and engage more readily – without the worries of social media.

Trinity prides itself on helping its students become the best versions of themselves, whether that be through our constantly evolving array of extracurriculars suited to each student's personal interests, or the new revision of leadership positions in the school, allowing the Student Voice to be stronger than ever and giving each pupil the chance to voice their beliefs and vouch for positive change. We believe our learning journeys extend beyond the classroom, and our diverse provisions act as the backbone for personal development besides academic success. Undoubtedly, Trinity in this way goes above and beyond to ensure each student leaves each school day not only feeling supported and cared for on their academic journey, but also confident to be unapologetically themselves and use their voice to leave an impact.

Our school is consistently diversifying, with staff that continuously work hard to ensure the success of every student. As a head student team, we are determined to emphasise student success further through enhancing student responsibilities within the school, introducing the role of prefect in Year 10 rather than just Year 11 for this academic year. This will create a greater body of students dedicating time and effort into our school community, demonstrating our school motto, ‘Personal excellence and collective responsibility’.

The remarkable growth and transformation Trinity has experienced throughout our school journey has been truly exceptional. We are incredibly fortunate to have witnessed its development firsthand, while equally growing and developing alongside it ourselves. New classrooms, refurbished facilities, expanded subject choices and an ever-growing range of extracurricular opportunities are continually being introduced at Trinity. This is different for each student, whether it be sports, academia, or the arts; there is something for everyone at Trinity. Most recently, the refurbishment of our astroturf and outdoor seating areas has further enhanced the student experience and created more welcoming spaces for students to enjoy.

We are incredibly proud of how our school continues to change for the better, maintaining the position that it is always students first. We feel nurtured to excel individually and as a student body, becoming confident enough to give back to the rest of the school and the wider community around us. This is seen through Trinity’s many charity outreaches, working closely with West Berkshire foodbank to collect donations at one of the most needed times, Christmas. For year 9 students we run the First Give program, allowing students to actively engage in a charity of their own choice, raise money and campaign for them, and even raise a further £1000 if they are to win the First Give competition. Each and every student that gets involved in our charity programmes not only helps the charity and its beneficiaries but also gives themselves the chance to grow in character and experience; making it such a key part of Trinity life.

We cannot wait for the coming academic year and all the successes it will bring, and we are proud that as head students we will play a part in representing and leading the students through the year. We hope that the work we do will add onto the lasting impact and legacy of Trinity.

The school’s motto of ‘Personal Excellence and Collective Responsibility’ encapsulates what our school is like. From Year 7 we have been challenged and supported to be the best versions of ourselves academically and socially. The teachers’ drive, enthusiasm and hard work has been pivotal in helping us achieve the successes we have enjoyed to date and hope to continue to do so in the future.

Beyond the classroom, Trinity’s close-knit community ensures everyone is valued and given the right opportunities to succeed no matter who you are or where you are from. This is different for everyone, whether it be academia, the arts or sport; there is something for everyone. We have a hard-working and aspirational student body that ensures everyone feels included and well cared for. As a group, we push each other to be the best we can be, supporting each other along the way and ensuring we enjoy our life at school at the same time. Equally, we endeavour to give as much back to our wider community as possible building connections that really showcases the strengths and qualities all Trinity students possess.

From our new IT classrooms and labs, to the dance studio and sports hall, our facilities are excellent. Although we are not the largest school, we feel, this is one of the things that makes us unique, as time and support is always available from our teachers.

We are proud of how our school continues to develop and always puts the needs of students first. We feel nurtured to excel individually, as a student body and confident enough to give back to the rest of the school and the wider school community.
