Trinity's House Performing Arts Evening

Trinity School enjoyed another fabulous evening of entertainment at our House Performing Arts competition on 18th October.
Students from Dragon, Griffin and Phoenix Houses each performed their own pieces based on Roald Dahl quotes. Each performance was completely student led, from the choreography and scripts, through to the musical performances. Judges, Stephen Rowe from Sony Music and Lewis Cooke, professional dancer, both former students at Trinity, were thoroughly impressed by the quality of the performances and had fond memories of their own time performing on stage. Judge, Charlotte Hall from Newbury’s Corn Exchange, commended the students and said there were many times throughout the evening when she felt she was totally immersed in each production.
Griffin House took the Overall Winners’ crown for their piece around the quote “Grown ups are complicated creatures, full of quirks and secrets”.
Mrs Wilson, Executive Headteacher, finished the evening by announcing to the audience Trinity’s recent achievement of the Artsmark Platinum Award, the highest award given by the Arts Council for commitment to performing arts and recognition of the skills and qualities developed in young people.
