Christmas at Trinity

All of us here at Trinity have been festive over the last few weeks in the run up to Christmas. Below are a few different festive things that have taken place at school.

We kicked off our festive activities with our successful PTA Christmas Fayre on Friday 7th December. The main hall was taken over by festive spirit as the whole school came together to celebrate Christmas with our PTA. The evening was a huge success, raising over £2,000.

Our festive activities continued with our annual Newbury Academy Trust Christmas Concert on Thursday 13th December. We welcomed choirs, solo singers, and groups to our stage from Trinity, and our primaries, Fir Tree and Speenhamland. It was an evening full of festive cheer, and enjoyed throughout.

We have enjoyed our Christmas assemblies this year as always, at St Mary’s Church.  We have been considering ordinary people doing extraordinary things both within and outside our community.  Thank you to the Reverend Dr Marion Wood for joining us at our assemblies and thank you to St Mary’s Church for making us feel so welcome. We also would like to thank Jess, Charlie and Max for their singing. A full video can be seen on our Twitter - @TrinityNewbury

Staff greeted students this morning on their way into school by singing a variety of Christmas Carols at the front of school to spread their festive cheer on the last day of term. Thank you to all staff who got involved.

To end the Autumn Term, our Sixth Formers hosted their own Christmas jumper day for Loose Ends, a local charity for the homeless. Our whole school enjoyed the end of term assembly, where we celebrated all of our achievements including crowning this term’s House winners – Dragon House.  We also celebrated our Sports Colours Winners, as well as this term’s House Sports Champions and House events.

On behalf of all the staff at Trinity, we would like to wish all our students a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
