School Closure from Friday 20th March - Click to see more details

Dear Parents

Having reviewed our staffing situation and timetables today, and in light of the Government’s recent announcement, the plan for the rest of the week is to remain partially open.  Therefore, we will be open for Years 11 and SF for the remainder of the week.  However, the situation as you are aware, is fluid due to changes in staff circumstances as a result of the guidelines on self isolation.

We will continue to set work on Firefly for those students that are self-isolating and for student in years 7 -10 who we are asking to stay at home for the remainder of the week.

Each week I will be setting a Challenge task for our students in Year 7 -9 on Firefly; this week it is a Radio Advert task. This is an optional task.   I am delighted I have had some already completed and sent back.  I will be sharing these with you at the end of the week!

The PE and Dance staff are also setting weekly challenges to keep fit and healthy!

I also attach two documents which outline the support on offer in our local community and a parents’ guide for home learning.

As per the Government announcement school will close on Friday 20th March 2020 until we receive further information.  You will be aware that the Government will be announcing further details about provision for children of key workers and the most vulnerable, as soon as we know more we will provide you with information.

Thank you for your continued support and patience, we will continue to update you by email, text and on our website.

Regards
