Duke of Edinburgh Award Evening

Celebrating the success of our Adventurers

On Tuesday 12th October Trinity School hosted our Duke of Edinburgh Award Celebration Evening.  The Award takes commitment, a spirit of adventure, making choices, setting goals, and perseverance in achieving them.  The last 18 months during the pandemic brought extra challenges for our participants but they persevered and we were delighted to celebrate with them in achieving their Bronze and Silver Awards.

We were joined for the evening by adventurer, Julie Ashmore, who spoke about the qualities needed to undertake an expedition to the North Pole and how adventurers are grown not born!   The students shared their expedition videos with a very proud audience of family and friends.

Thanks go to all staff who have supported the students, especially Mrs Llewellyn who has grown the Duke of Edinburgh Award at Trinity as a curriculum subject and extra enrichment activity.  The time she has given to working with students to achieve their awards is testament to her commitment, dedication and belief in the importance of the programme and development of young people.
