On Friday 6^th January 2023, Trinity School hosted its annual Upper School Presentation Evening.  Students who had gone onto University and Apprenticeships returned to receive their exam certificates and special awards alongside students who are currently studying for A Levels in Year 12.

We were joined by British Paralympian Rower Giedre Rakauskaite who won gold in her debut performance as a member of the GB Rowing Team in the 2017 PR3Mix 4+ World Championships in Sarasota.  Alongside James Fox, Ellen Buttrick, Ollie Stanhope and cox Erin Kennedy she went on to win the PR3 Mix4+ world title in 2019, and added the European title in 2021. Giedre gave an inspiring talk on being resilient and personal growth which resonated with our students.

Executive Headteacher, Dr Charlotte Wilson said “this is one of my favourite events of the year; we get to celebrate all our students’ achievements and recognise their hard work and efforts alongside families, friends and staff who have supported them throughout their time at Trinity.  We were very fortunate that Giedre agreed to be our guest speaker, she has also returned to Trinity this week to speak to our Year 7 students as well as our Gifted and Talented athletes about the importance sport plays in peoples’ lives and the skills, talent and mindset needed to be a British Paralympian at the top of their sport”.
