Trinity School

Artist in Residence

On Monday 9th January Trinity School was delighted to welcome back Lewis Cooke, former student at Trinity, as its newest Artist in Residence. Lewis is in his third year at The London Contemporary School of Dance and has choreographed many pieces for himself and his peers. He has appeared in performances with the Sadlers Wells youth company and it also a regular teacher at The Place Dance Studio in London. Lewis left Trinity in 2014 and we are delighted that he accepted the role as our Artist in Residence. During his training Lewis has worked with some amazing practitioners from the dance world such as Akram Khan, Jasmin Vardimon, Richard Alston and many more.

‘The workshop stretched me as a dancer and I was able to learn things I never thought I could do. I learnt how to move in and out of the floor and work with partners using challenging contact work’

Emily - Year 13

‘The Artist in Residence workshop was very fun as I was challenged and it pushed me in different exercises such as group contact work. Overall it was a successful day and I can’t wait to perform the piece to my family and friends’

Ella - Year 10
