Success for Trinity Mathematicians
Students from Trinity School’s year 8 and year 9 took part in the Junior Maths Challenge Regional Finals last Friday, 17th March. They competed against the best schools in the local area and came an impressive second out of 31 schools.
They were only just pipped to the top spot in the last round by the Reading School. The team was made up of Ellouise and Grace from year 9 and Heidi Cockram and Jaydon from year 8. They competed in numerous events which tested not only their maths skills but also their team work and mathematical creativity. They did especially well in the team challenge where they scored full marks. The school has also had fantastic success in the individual challenges where our students have been awarded a total of 23 certificates this year already, with the Junior Challenge still to come later in the year.
