Poetry by Heart Competition

Trinity entered this national competition for the first time and we were delighted when Koshesai Fundira from year 13 got through the regional round and went to London for the semi-finals. Unfortunately, Koshi did not get through to the final but received a commendation for her performance of Minority by Imtiaz Dharker. Koshi had this to say about the competition:

"I honestly am gutted that it was my first and the last time I'd be able to enter because I enjoyed it so much, but poetry is definitely now something more for me than just a GCSE exam so surely that is something to take away from the whole experience."

Watch out for the competition in 2018 as we would like to send another student to the semi-finals, or even the finals.
