Latest Communications to Parents

Current Home Working situation (24/03)

Dear Parents

We understand the difficulties some of you may be facing currently with guiding your children at home through the home learning, with the added complication of Firefly being temperamental we appreciate it is not easy.  We are working with Firefly who are a global company, to rectify the situation.  At present we cannot turn off notifications from Firefly and the automatic responses when work isn’t completed – but we will look at this and ask Firefly about this.

Staff are setting work as per the timetable for each class, we know that this means that some children will have more work than others depending on their timetable at given point throughout the week.

We also know that some children are working through the work quickly and asking staff for more, whilst others are working at a slower rate.  Please reassure your child to do the work they can, when they can.  Students will not be penalised if they cannot complete all the work set.

Some of you have asked if teachers can set up live streams to teach the children – at present our systems do not have the capabilities to do this for all teachers.  This may be something we can develop in the future.

Thank you for your continued support of our school.
