Mock Trial Winners March 2026

Trinity School Triumphs in Prestigious Mock Trial Competition

Trinity School is celebrating another outstanding achievement after its Year 8 and 9 Mock Trial team won the 2026 Magistrates’ Court Mock Trial Competition at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 21st March. Coached by the highly experienced duo Mr Trent and Mrs Smith, the students delivered confident, polished performances that impressed officials and guests throughout the day.

This prestigious national competition drew distinguished attendees including the High Sheriff, local Judges, Magistrates, Mayors, and other VIPs. Schools from across the county competed in the Berkshire Heats where Trinity ultimately secured the top spot.

This year’s triumph adds to a growing legacy of Mock Trial success at Trinity School.  The school won the competition in both 2024 and 2023 and in 2015 Trinity reached the National Finals, marking the beginning of its impressive reputation on the Mock Trial circuit.

These achievements reflect the school’s long-term commitment to developing students’ critical thinking, public speaking, and analytical skills through real-case simulations and courtroom experience.

Throughout the competition, Trinity’s team showcased remarkable composure as they took on roles including magistrates, lawyers, clerks, witnesses, and legal advisors. Their ability to construct arguments, question witnesses, and think on their feet earned them high praise from the judging panel.

Mr Trent and Mrs Smith said:

“Our students have worked tirelessly, showing determination, teamwork, and impressive maturity. Their success is a testament to their dedication,”

As Trinity School celebrates this latest victory, the community recognises not just a single win, but a continued tradition of excellence. With three regional wins in recent years and a proud history stretching back more than a decade, Trinity’s Mock Trial team continues to go from strength to strength.
