Oxford University Visit

Oxford University Visit

Students from Trinity School enjoyed an enriching and aspirational visit to Oxford University last week, gaining first hand insight into life as a student.

The day introduced students to the University’s application process, the breadth of courses available and the realities of undergraduate life, offering valuable preparation for those considering Oxbridge or other Russell Group pathways.

During the visit, students toured the historic college site, enjoyed lunch in the dining hall and took part in academic sessions exploring topics such as pandemics, vaccines and global health. They also had the opportunity to speak directly with current Oxford students, who shared their experiences and offered practical advice about studying at a highly selective University. A highlight of the day was a mock interview session, designed to challenge students’ analytical thinking and give them a realistic sense of the interview process.

Reflecting on the experience, Tom in Year 12 commented: “The interview practice was incredibly useful. It really made me think differently and helped me understand what Oxford is looking for.”

The visit was an excellent opportunity for our students to broaden their horizons, deepen their academic curiosity and consider whether Oxford might be the right next step for them.
